According to a lieutenant government official, the government has agreed to make the “wai” sign a national identification for greetings and expressions of value.

Although people in Southeast Asia adopted the “wai” from India through Hindu and Buddhist views, according to Karom Phonphonklang, Thais made their “wai” distinct by developing a variety of the movement to show different and deep meanings.

Experts “wai” their hands by putting their palms up and keeping all digits close to one another. Then they apply their hands slightly to people of all ages, including juniors, seniors, peers, and priests, and place their hands next to either chin, nose, middle of the eyebrows, or stomach.

The Thai hua is the cultural and classic expression that has long been practiced in Thai culture, according to Mr. Karom. It “demonstrates the people’s compassion and feelings,” the statement reads.

Senator doubles down on manipulation claim

Next step of the election process” may reveal cooperation.”

Senator doubles down on manipulation claim
Caretaker legislator Somchai Swangkarn

According to caregiver lawmaker Somchai Swangkarn, the next round of voting in the Senate election will reveal that there are several people who were hired to participate in the process just to voting for candidates supported by particular political events or interest groups.

Mr. Somchai, who has repeatedly claimed that there are concerted efforts to influence the outcome of the Senate election, claimed a review of the district-level election results on Sunday revealed that some candidates received overwhelming help while another received scant attention.

He claimed on Monday that the situation was brought on by a flaw in the natural law enforcing the Senate election, which permits independent candidates to cast ballots for themselves and/or against other individuals.

He claimed that some of the individuals who received no votes on Sunday may have been coaxed by a social group or interest group to run for president so they can support other individuals.

” If we keep an eye on the municipal- level voting]on June 16], we will be able to notice signs of collaboration. Only those backed]by certain events and parties ] may get through”, he said.

” No offence to those who were genuine prospects, but their odds are actually thin without the aid of organised organizations”, he said.

Mr. Somchai attributed the Election Commission’s (EC ) inaction on the candidates ‘ backgrounds, claiming that many candidates are alleged to have lied about their professional backgrounds.

He also criticised the EC for allowing the individuals to bring” Sol Wor 3″ files to the ballot hall, claiming some of them had instructions on how to choose who to support.

Mr. Somchai claimed that he could just observe the vote and warn people of potential irregularities because district-level election officials are only permitted to file complaints at this point. ” If only the EC would do its job… even just 90 % of it, it is bound to find]irregularities ]”, he said.

A senator from Mae Hong Son claimed on Monday that political parties paid some candidates in his state$ 5,000 each to register so they could vote for particular individuals.

He claimed that the candidates hired did not attempt to influence others to vote for themselves or made any attempt to present themselves.

He added that individuals for political parties and curiosity parties were fielded in every class to acclaim their dominance throughout the whole voting process.

When questioned whether the Senate had received any complaints about the election, caregiver senator Seree Suwanpanont responded that the EC should be looking into accounts of alleged irregularities. ” We’ve heard]complaints ], but there is no evidence]to back them up ]”, he said.

Mr. Seree claimed that there was nothing improper about high-profile individuals being chosen by their peers before noting that some well-known candidates did not advance to the next round.

When questioned about the likelihood that the problems may result in invalid results, he replied that they would only be voided if the Constitutional Court determines that the election was unlawful.

After preliminary investigation by investigators who found evidence of corruption in their preliminary investigation, the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration ( BMA ) has plans to expand its investigation into the procurement of exercise equipment for the capital’s public parks.

Following the BMA’s seventh board meeting on Monday, Bangkok government Chadchart Sittipunt and BMA assistant permanent secretary Nathapong Disayabutra made the announcement.

Mr. Nathapong claimed that investigators have discovered a number of leads that point to possible fraud in the state’s procurement of exercise equipment.

He claimed that some of these projects were carried out in contravention of the laws that apply to the surrender of proposals to government agencies.

According to him, the BMA will gather all relevant pieces of evidence and send them to the National Anti-Corruption Commission ( NACC ) for further investigation. The BMA also mentioned that the BMA is considering forming a panel to look into the matter.

Additionally, Mr. Nathapong mentioned that BMA is thinking about starting a board to review the costs of the products purchased during the upcoming fiscal year.

Mr. Chadchart claimed that he had ordered the lieutenant governor to check the prices listed in the tenders submitted by bidders in an effort to reduce the possibility of bone in upcoming recruitment projects.

He also mandated that BMA officials establish the starting prices for exercise equipment in order to guide upcoming outsourcing initiatives.

Individually, former Democrat Party MP Watchara Petchtong submitted a plea to NACC secretary- public Niwatchai Kasemmongkol, calling for an investigation into the BMA’s workout gear procurement, which cost the city 77.73 million baht.

He claimed that Mr. Chadchart and other members of the Bangkok Metropolitan Council conspired to engage in corruption with other officials, including members of the Move Forward Party ( MFP ) to fund the projects.

Weed protesters “not going anywhere”

Weed protesters 'not going anywhere'
As hemp advocates rally the government’s plan to relist the flower as a narcotic on Monday, police stand guard as they protest the program. The demonstrators vowed to continue outside Government House until a law is passed to regulate the use of the flower. Chanat Katanyu

The meeting of cannabis advocacy organizations outside Government House, which are against the plant’s re-listing, was downplayed by public health secretary Somsak Thepsutin, who vowed to remain there until a law governing its use was passed.

Around 300 pro-cannabis activists on Sunday gathered under the direction of Prasitthichai Nunual, a member of the Women’s Network for Cannabis Legislation in Thailand, to protest the plant’s blacklisting and get ready for an extended be.

According to Mr. Somsak, the demonstrators were attempting to avert senior government officials ‘ hearings on Monday and were exercising their legal rights. He noted, however, that the prime minister had no provided any specific instructions regarding the opposition or the cannabis problem.

The Pheu Thai secretary, however, emphasized that the lock would continue to be available for economic growth and use of medicines.

He added that he had claims that business owners would have enough time to adjust in order to lessen the effects of the relisting.

He asked if the bill to regulate marijuana use would be unnecessary because it would put the plant back on the list of opioid drugs. He said discussions were also taking place and people were required to follow the latest rules until they are changed.

After the Bhumjaithai Party made the issue its main battle priority prior to the 2019 vote, the plant was decriminalized in 2022.

But, decriminalization came before the necessary legislation to regulate and control its use, which raised fears about misuse, particularly among younger age groups.

A hemp and hemp expenses that the party sponsored during the earlier parliament was approved in the first reading but rejected in the following.

There was riddled rumors that a law needed to regulate the use of the plant would be unnecessary because the Pheu Thai-led government planned to relist cannabis as a narcotic medication.

The advocacy groups for cannabis continued when long as it took to press for the passage of the rules to govern cannabis use, according to Mr. Prasitthichai.

” But we’re demanding a public discussion process to be formed if the government insists on reversing the choice. It’s no worse than nicotine or alcohol and has pharmaceutical parameters”, he said.

Anutin Charnviraku, the government’s deputy prime minister and interior minister, said the Bhumjaithai Party may consider both sides of the story.

He said the inquiry may be directed to the public health secretary about the possibility that the Public Health Ministry did try to control just particular elements, such as plants.
