Following the shooting deaths of two people at Siam Paragon on Tuesday evening, a mental wellness consultation system was opened on Wednesday to assist those who are traumatized or often unhappy.

Public Health Minister Cholnan Srikaew and permanent repository for health Dr. Opas Karnkawinpong have assigned Amporn Benjaponpitak and her staff to care for any people who have been shaken by the boy’s assault, according to the director-general of the Department of Mental Health.

Anyone who wants to explore the product on the M floor of Siam Paragon will be able to do so for seven nights, from 9am to 8pm, according to Dr. Amporn.

She stated that the department store would text those present at the crime scene with SMS messages containing information about mental health services, including exams.

Dr. Amporn claimed to have spoken with some of the Siam Paragon shooting victims, many of whom are still struggling to get over the incident and the ensuing chaos.

According to Dr. Amporn,” if people receive adequate treatment in a timely manner, their signs will eventually lessen and they will be able to return to their normal lives as soon as possible.”

She claimed that if those who were impacted by Tuesday’s attack did not receive the necessary care, their symptoms might worsen and ultimately harm their emotional wellbeing.

Hence, it is our responsibility to make sure that everyone in this place is secure and able to lead a normal life.

However, she added,” We must acknowledge that people here, such as the shop owners, staff, and even bystanders, shoppers, or the surrounding community, will be mentally affected.

Dr. Amporn expressed her concern for the boy who committed the crime’s psychological health as well.

Although the child’s motivation is still unknown, she claimed that this has taught community a valuable lesson about the value of taking care of the younger generation.

According to statistics, Thailand has one of the highest levels of mental health issues among younger people in Asia.
