Singapore urban sport athletes hope for better facilities, support in bid for 2028 Olympics

” A POSITIVE CHANGE”

National climber Luke Goh, age 21, admitted to CNA that he feels even more excited about his possibilities in the future yet though he did not qualify for the same competition this year.

” I’m really thankful that over the years, we’ve seen this huge expansion in climbing and how walking is perceived in the general public,” he said,” and it gets taken more seriously because it’s in the Olympics then. So it is a beneficial change”, he added.

At the Olympics, sports climbing involves three forms – texture, speed and direct.

Goh hopes it will make its way to the Southeast Asian ( SEA ) Games now that it is a part of the Olympics and the Asian Games. Thailand will host the following edition of the local competition in the coming year.

” If we just look at it, the SEA Games prepares (athletes ) for the Asian Games, the Asian Games prepares ( them ) for Olympics. It will undoubtedly be a very good starting point for athletes looking to advance their dynamic endeavors,” said Goh, who was named Southeast Asian Boulder League champion last year.

In terms of Singapore’s skills, Goh said its game trekking sports is “definitely get awards”.

” I do n’t really doubt our capability in that. It will be tough work independently, but I’m pretty certain we can”, he added.

However, he claimed that the baby steps moreover matter, such as finding more ways to pique people’s interest and interest in the sport, as well as having better walking services in Singapore.
