According to Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin, Thailand will further bolster business ties with the United States as the two nations celebrate 190 years of political relations.

At a gala dinner on Wednesday( US local time) hosted by the US Chamber of Commerce and US Asean Business Council( USABC ), he was speaking after meeting with US President Joe Biden.

The 78th General Assembly of the United Nations ( UNGA78 ) session in New York is being attended by the Thai delegation under the leadership of Mr. Srettha. It will end on Sunday.

Mr. Srettha, who also serves as finance minister, stated that the US senator assured Thailand that it would continue to be a reliable trading mate and that Biden had congratulated him on taking the throne.

According to the prime minister, bilateral negotiations between the two sides are anticipated to take place in November at the Leaders’ Meeting of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation ( APEC ) in San Francisco.

Mr. Srettha also met with various foreign dignitaries, including Estonia’s prime minister, a country in Eastern Europe renowned for its cutting-edge e-government program.

He claimed that in order to enhance Thailand’s legal service system, reduce red audio, and reduce corruption, Estonia has been asked to transport its e-government know-how to Thailand.

The Sustainable Development Goals( SDGs ), according to Foreign Affairs Minister Jakkapong Sangmanee, are one of UNGA78’s high points.
