China VP Han Zheng warns at UN of 'strong will' on Taiwan

UN NATIONS: China warned the UN on Thursday( Sept 21 ) not to undervalue its” strong will” toward Taiwan, claiming Beijing preferred peaceful means to seize the self-governing democracy.

Vice President Han Zheng reiterated Beijing’s position that Taiwan, around which the mainland has staged numerous military exercises & nbsp, constitutes an” inalienable part” of China in a speech to the General Assembly.

No one should ever undervalue the Taiwanese people’s unwavering commitment, strong will, and ability to protect their sovereignty and territorial dignity, he said.

All of the nation’s sons and daughters share the desire to see China fully reunited, he declared.

” With the utmost sincerity and work, we will continue to work toward peaceful reunion.”

The United States has a close illegal marriage with Taiwan, to which it provides arms to maintain its self-defense, despite the fact that almost all nations recognize Beijing more than Taipei.

Some US leaders have expressed concern that China is intensifying its efforts to take the area by force, particularly if Taiwan moves to formally declare its democracy.

A year and a half after the invasion, Russia failed to take control of Ukraine, according to authorities, who claim that China has been considering lessons from that country.

Despite its alliance with Russia, China hasn’t given Moscow a lot of martial aid.

China, according to Han, desired a” cessation of hostilities and continuation of tranquility talks” on Ukraine.

China” stands ready to continue playing a constructive responsibility for the first realization of peace” and” supports all initiatives that are beneficial to the peaceful solution of the Ukraine crisis ,” he said.

Han and US Secretary of State Antony Blinken met earlier this week on the General Assembly’s outside as part of the two powers’ most recent effort to control their escalating tensions.
