A massive pyrolysis gasoline ( pygas ) tank exploded and caught fire at Map Ta Phut Tank Terminal Co Ltd ( MTT ) in this eastern province on Thursday morning, killing one person.

Around 10.45 am, firefighters received a notification about the incident at the Siam Cement Group (SCGC ) petrochemical branch’s (SCGC ) terminal.

Four people were hurt in the affair, according to SCG, and were later hospitalized. One of the injured, an individual, succumbed to their injuries.

Three people were injured, according to a past record.

The affair caused the terminal operations to be stopped and the residents who lived near evacuated.
