Microlink Solutions Bhd (Microlink) has announced the appointment of Ramlee Abdullah as its new Group Chief Executive Officer to change Chia Yong Wei who is stepping down in the role after 6 years.

Ramlee’s extensive experience in the ICT industry offering a wide range of financial services and public sector organisations will be invaluable to us in providing the next phase of our growth. ”
Microlink’s business will be organised in 4 clear pillars spanning Financial Services Industry (FSI), Telecommunications, Public Industry and Distribution channels. “Ramlee will be properly supported by the solid contingent of C-Suite leaders that have been set up to head these types of business pillars, accompanied by their respective groups. Together, they will still drive the business forward, under Ramlee’s management, ” added Jagan.
Ramlee originally joined the OMESTI Group in January 2019 as Head of Sales with a remit to expand the Group’s regional impact across Southeast Asia for its Digital HUMAN RESOURCES, Core Banking and eCOURTS Digital Legal courts solutions, in particular within Indonesia and Asia. In March 2022, he transferred to Microlink to head the general public Sector business pillar and has since already been instrumental in significantly raising the Group’s profile with companies in that sector.
Ramlee holds a track record of more than 30 years within the Banking & Finance sector in the Asia, Middle East and Africa regions. They have held senior placements with top rate organisations that include Oracle Corporation, Sunline, HSBC Bank Malaysia, Silverlake Systems and Temenos. With hands-on global experience in multiple territories, he has handled sales and business operations in the Middle East [Kuwait], Asia and China, along with Malaysia, Philippines, Asia, Indonesia, Vietnam and Laos.
Microlink’s audio track record of complex project implementation has enabled expansion beyond its strong legacy in FSI, into telecommunications and the public industry. Recent successes have got included a key task valued at some RM35. 1 million granted by Jabatan Pengangkutan Jalan (JPJ) Malaysia. The three-year project involves the introduction of an Open System Platform for the Automatic Understanding Security or AwAS System infrastructure.
The Group was also involved as a key delivery partner for the implementation of a new Business Assistance Systems [BSS] platform for any major telecommunications company. This has led to opportunities for expansion in to other geographies within Southeast Asia and the Middle East.
