SINGAPORE: Singaporean Yvonne Lim was heading for a sleep after sending her kids off to college, when an earthquake struck Taiwan– the region’s strongest in 25 years.
As the moments passed, all started to tremble and the power grew worse. She then realized it was severe, according to Ms. Lim, a Mediacorp artist who has spent the past nine years living with her home in Taipei.
I went upstairs to my life area. I forgot my handphone. I really forgot anything. It was so weak that you could hardly move in a direct line. She told CNA’s Singapore Tonight on Wednesday ( Apr 3 ),” It was like a scene from the movies that we watch.”  ,
” And you could n’t think properly. It was very, very terrible. The spasms were really, really poor”.
While it lasted just a few moments, that was not how it felt, she said.
It might be very little …  , three or four hours. But ( it actually feels ) quite long when there’s an earthquake. You were like actually holding onto your next breath, hoping that it would quit,” she said.
Ms. Lim grabbed her smartphone so she could see how her husband and children were doing, and she “left some last words” on her Instagram account indignantly for the worse.
She claimed that she believed the event might have led to the end of her day living in Taipei because it was so traumatizing.
Ms. Lim claimed that while the tower remained solid after the numbness and that the inhabitants were safe, there might be some damage at home.
” I have stuff falling over because the range was splashing out.” Cabinets were coming in and out, and the windows were likewise swaying. It was frightful in the sense that you were all by yourself and that nothing was ever going to stop you. But fortunately, we did not have any main harm,” she said.  ,
