Data centre operators seek greater clarity on green roadmap amid growing digital demands

PUSHING THE SUSTAINABILITY ENVELOPE

According to the Ministry of Trade and Industry, data centers accounted for roughly 7 % of Singapore’s overall energy use in 2020.

According to researchers, raising public awareness is necessary for a more lasting future.

Finding alternative energy to offset the carbon emissions in some information centers, like Digital Realty, is also challenging. &nbsp,

Mr Jon Curry, vice president of Asia Pacific activities at Digital Realty, called for quality on the green data center strategy according to Singapore’s limited green capabilities.

” Densing the alternative energy in from outside of Singapore and knowing what those green processes will mean for Digital Realty to make any subsequent investments,” he continued.

Another person in the industry thinks it’s important to have the necessary requirements to accurately assess energy productivity because it’s difficult to accurately assess the impact of these facilities. &nbsp,

We may have a transparent and open way to measure energy efficiency, according to Mr. Tim Rosenfield, co-CEO of Sustainable Metal Cloud and Firmus, two companies that are transforming the worlds of artificial intelligence system and sustainable energy alternatives.

” We believe that the implementation of AI is a crucial step in lowering the cost.”
