SINGAPORE: Mediacorp’s media and current affairs company CNA will soon be introduced in North America, Canada, and the United Kingdom.
The implementation will be carried out in phases over the course of this year, with the rollout taking place across a combination of platforms such as tv streaming services, YouTube, and a tailored edition of the CNA site.  ,
Mediacorp chairman Niam Chiang Meng announced the move during CNA’s 25th anniversary celebration at Capella Singapore on Tuesday ( Mar 19 ) to appeal to those in these regions who are looking for breaking news and thought-provoking documentaries about Asia, particularly China, Japan, and Korea.
Deputy Prime Minister Lawrence Wong, who was a guest of honor at the event, said a hard road lies ahead for CNA as it builds on its bases.
He said in his speech:” In this remarkably- contested and fragmented media landscape, there will be pressure to deal fairly,  , make click- bait, sensationalist content simply to attract eyeballs. You have to endure that , desire and continue to maintain your great requirements.
It is even more crucial for CNA to tell stories that bridge gaps, educate us of different viewpoints, and ultimately keep our community strong at a time when people everywhere are increasingly identifying themselves as small cultural conditions, living in sound chambers, and creating their own” tribes.”
In congratulating CNA on reaching its 25th anniversary step, Mr Wong described CNA’s job as” strong “but” even a profoundly fulfilling one”.
Said Mr Wong, who is , even Finance Minister:” The work you do is essential and crucial to our community. To realize your mission, you will need to constantly evolve, develop new capabilities, and engage in your people.
” The government will continue to help you, as you forerunner transformations in the industry, and provide your unique brand of trusted, powerful, and appropriate programming”.
