Father admits beating 9-year-old son with umbrellas and cane, leaving red marks

SINGAPORE: A man hit his nine-year-old son several times with two tents and a cane after suspecting that his son had stolen funds at his birthday party.

His wife begged him to stop and tried to protect their child, but she was also hit by the wood.

The 45-year-old man admitted guilt on Thursday ( Nov. 9 ) to one count of voluntarily harming a minor. He cannot be named to protect his son’s identity. &nbsp,

He may be sentenced based on a next charge of hurting his wife.

The man reportedly resided with his wife and son, according to the judge.

On November 30 of last year, the son and his family attended a birthday party at around 10 p.m.

The boy informed his family that he had received a S$ 50 statement from the birthday child before leaving the party.

The boy returned the money after the defendant’s woman instructed him to do so because she thought he had been lying.

The lady told her husband what had happened when they got home.

Around 11.30 p.m., the boy’s dad got home from work because he wanted to correct his boy for allegedly stealing and lying.

He grabbed an umbrella and started repeatedly hitting the boy’s knees and fingers, causing him to sob.

The boy’s mom intervened and requested that her husband stop hitting their child when she saw this.

The person shut the door after instructing his brother to leave the house. &nbsp,

Once more, the boy’s mother stepped in and unlocked the door to allow her son back inside.

Yet, when the boy came back, his father repeatedly struck him in the arms and hips with a larger umbrella.

Mother of the boy attempted to stop the beat, but the person persisted. He continued to strike his brother’s system, including his hands and hips, with a cane.

The boy’s mother persisted in pleading with her father to quit, but when she tried to protect her son, the man even struck her with the wood.

The man gradually stopped hitting his wife and son and walked away.

Just before evening, a member of the public called the police. The visitor claimed that they could hear a man berating and spanking his child while the child sobbed and the wife screamed.

The son and his family were taken to the hospital when the police showed up, and the criminal was apprehended when he got home.

When the boy was examined in a hospital, it was discovered that he had dark straight marks all over his body, including nine in the areas of his palms, forearm, and calf.

Additionally, his shoulder had numerous red marks and bruises. The pounding with the three things had resulted in the injuries.

The prosecutors demanded that the criminal serve between six and eight weeks in prison, citing the use of two umbrellas and a cane as well as the force employed.

According to the prosecutor, the sufferer was not only the boy’s own kid but also a nine-year-old child.

In January, the man may go back to court to receive his sentence. &nbsp,

Singaporeans on non-voter list can apply to restore names to Register of Electors from Nov 10

Chan Chun Sing, the minister in charge of the public service, claimed that in September, more than 1,000 Singapore who had cast ballots at the previous polls but had been mistakenly placed on the non-voter record for the national election were reinstated to the registers.

In a written response to political issues on September 18, Mr. Chan stated that 1, 093 Singaporeans had informed ELD that they had not received their ballot tickets despite having cast their ballots in 2020 after the Writ of Election was issued. &nbsp,

This was an improvement over the 200 or so that were reported on August 24.

According to Mr. Chan, the “most possible cause” of the error was that an electric registration system that had only been introduced in the 2020 GE had never adequately captured the NRIC details of affected voters. &nbsp,

Voting in primaries is required for everyone who is available in Singapore. The ELD website states that on Polling Day, all Singapore whose names appear in the registers must cast their ballots.

After the election, those who do n’t comply will have their names taken down from the registers. They may request that their names been changed so that they can cast ballots in upcoming elections. &nbsp,

There were 2, 709, 407 votes in the 2023 presidential election, of which 2, 484, 481 solid ballots. There were 224,926 votes who did not cast a ballot. &nbsp,

Following the fight on Wednesday, police surrounded rocky areas in four counties and sent three helicopters to the Banthad mountain range to look for escaped detainee Chaowalit Thongduang.

Chaowalit, also known as Sia Paeng Nanod, was involved in the police shootout on Wednesday in his shelter in Trang province’s hilly region, but he was able to escape. He reportedly fled toward the southeast side of the mountain range with his armed men, whose identities were unknown.

Initial reports in the media on Wednesday asserted that Chaowalit had died as a result of the officers and gunfire change. Top police officers insisted that this was untrue, though.

Chaowalit, 37, was currently incarcerated for attempted crime and was facing a number of other legal costs, including death. On October 22, he left Maharat Nakhon Si Thammarat Hospital. For what reason had he been taken it. After collapsing and receiving medical remedy, he was later admitted and admitted to having excruciating leg pains. He escaped immediately despite being confined to the base and wearing calf chains.

Three guards faced arrest warrants for dereliction of duty in connection with Chaowalit’s leave, and seven people were detained for allegedly aiding in his leave.

In order to investigate the situation and develop plans to find the inmate, Pol Gen Thana Chuwong, acting assistant national police chief, met with police and anxious agencies on Thursday at Don Tae forest protection device in the Palian area of Trang.

The slave was thought to be hiding in the rock range, according to Pol Gen Thana, and he wanted him to turn himself in right away. According to the officers, there was a good chance the prisoner had access to powerful arms.

According to the standing deputy police chief, the prisoner was able to flee because a dog at his makeshift shelter barked on Wednesday when it saw police approaching. He thought that some individuals had helped him escape imprisonment.

To assist the police procedure, the Hahuman specific task force was sent out. Four southern counties of Nakhon Si Thammarat, Phatthalung, Satun, and Trang were surrounded by police groups. &nbsp,

To look for Chaowalit, three officers helicopters were sent to a wooded area, but he was nowhere to be found. Officials just discovered one M4 rifle that was thought to be the prisoner’s.

Chaowalit opened blaze initially when he saw police approaching his shelter, according to Pol Maj Gen Piyawat Chalermsri, deputy director of the Provincial Police Region 9. Before the slave could escape, both flanks opened fire.

According to Pol Maj Gen Piyawat, a power machine discovered in the house indicated that Chaowalit had been adequately prepared for his escape.

Pol Gen Torsak Sukvimol, the head of the national authorities, urged Chaowalit’s family and close friends to convince him to turn himself in if he approached them on Thursday because officers did not want to use force because doing so would result in fatalities.

According to Pol Gen Torsak, the soldiers had to adhere to legal requirements if the prisoner started firing.

More than 600 rounds of ammunition and combat arms, according to him, were carried by the slave and his people.
