Migrant worker killed, 10 injured in Songkhla crash

SONGKHLA: 1 Myanmar worker has been killed and 10 injured when the minibus they were in had been hit by a truck while making a U-turn in Sadao district on Wednesday evening, police said.

The accident occurred about 5. 35pm in front of the Sadao Rubber Industry factory on Kanchanawanich road.

Witnesses said the particular minibus was carrying 11 Myanmar workers, all women. The driving force intended to make a U-turn in front of the company creating when the vehicle had been hit  on the right side by a truck loaded with containers.

The particular workers were on their way  to make value at Wat Hua Thanon in Sadao district, to indicate Asanha Bucha.  

The truck slammed to the mini-bus, which was hurled into a roadside forget by the impact.  

The bus driver, Hemmarat Chaithongkaew, escaped along with only minor accidental injuries. One Myanmar worker was killed and 10 others wounded, four of them seriously.

The particular truck driver, Thammarong Tongkim, 39,   said he was in the far correct lane and the minibus cut suddenly before him as the car owner went to enter the U-turn.

Police were examining security camera recordings from the crash before deciding what charges to lay.
