12-year-old student taken to hospital after car hits her outside Bukit View Secondary School

A 12-year-old student was hit by a car at a pedestrian crossing outside Bukit View Secondary School on Tuesday ( Apr 16 ).  

The police  around 7 a.m. were called to the crash involving a car and a pedestrian traveling along Bukit Batok Street 21 and Bukit Batok Central. 05am on Tuesday,   the Singapore Police Force ( SPF ) said in response to CNA’s queries.

Around 7 o’clock, the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) even informed CNA that a traffic accident occurred along the same city. 10am.

The girl was taken to the National University Hospital for treatment.

She has since been discharged from doctor, said Bukit View Secondary School’s principal  Jaswant Singh on Tuesday evening.

We are in contact with the pupil and her family to offer them the support they require, he continued.

A 50-year-old female car driver is assisting with officers studies, the police said, adding that investigations are ongoing.
