Wendy Williams says she's 'back and better than ever'
CNN   —

Wendy Williams has its own irons in the fireplace.

The former daytime speak show host came into a wellness service over the summer and today her representative states she is “home plus healing. ”

“Wendy is excited about the road ahead and looking towards releasing her many projects, ” Williams’ publicist Shawn Zanotti told Entertainment Tonight in a statement. Adding a sentiment from Williams, “Thank you to my supporters for your love, assistance and many prayers, We are back and better than ever. ”

Williams has been open about her prior struggle with addiction. In 2019, she informed viewers she had been living in a sober house after looking for treatment for drug use. She filed for divorce through her husband, Kevin Hunter, the same calendar year.

She has also discussed her ongoing issues with Graves’ disease. The autoimmune disorder is certainly something that caused Williams to leave the girl talk show on several occasions over the years, including an event in which she fainted on live tv during a Halloween event in 2017.

Williams hosted “The Wendy Williams Show” from 2008 to 2021. In February it had been announced that Sherri Shepard would be taking the girl time slot with her own talk show.
