Lai remembers his very first attempt sketching to the train. “It is very scary on the train. There are so many eyes you. Even now, I nevertheless (feel) intimidated to pass my drawings to them. ”

Approaching other people and presenting associated with his artwork is no cinch for Lai. But he thinks that he has to believe it is within himself in order to colour outside the outlines.

“That’s my character, I have to try elements I am scared of. I have to push personally to see what can I get or study from this experience, ” he said.

“If it’s simple, everyone will be doing it. You have to try out things that are not simple. ”

BECOMING A PART OF PEOPLE’S LIVES

Across his encounters associated with drawing random passerbys, Lai has had the chance to interact with people through all walks away life, with different stories to tell.

“I like it when people talk to me as I draw. Only the other day, a woman sitting beside me showed me a message while I was drawing. ”

And just like that, Lai became a part of their particular lives in the most unpredicted and genuine associated with ways.
