The World Congress on Innovation and Technology 2022 (WCIT 2022) that is scheduled to take place in Penang next week from September 13 to Sept 15 is away from home to enter the Malaysia Book of Records.
In the statement, Pikom, the organiser of The WCIT 2022, said they have over-achieved the target of delegates with more than 4, 000 delegate-tickets reserved.
The association also said due to overwhelming response, it has been inquired to accommodate additional requests for tech businesses to participate in the WCIT 2022 exhibit and TechFest 2022.
This will go down on record as the largest experiential technology festival plus conference in Malaysia, post pandemic, this claimed.
Pikom said individuals of WCIT 2022 along with the local Penangites will be able to witness the drone light display conducted by Malaysian drone-partner Drone-Sifu at the eve of Malaysia Day, followed by the 6-minute choreographed musical firework.
Pikom chairman and WCIT 2022 arranging chairman Sean Seah said the association is working closely with the Civil Specialist Aviation of Malaysia on getting the proceed on the drone lighting show.
“When most is in place, we are going to have over six hundred drones flying the sky on the event of Malaysia Day time, and this will be the biggest drone light show in Malaysian history, making it eligible for the particular Malaysia Book associated with Records, ” he claimed.
WCIT 2022 will kick off with the opening ceremony for the Sept 13, officiated by Ahmad Fuzi Abdul Razak, the particular governor of Penang and Ismail Sabri Yaakob, prime minister of Malaysia.
Chow Kon Yeow, chief ressortchef (umgangssprachlich) of Penang will be officiating TechFest 2022.
