US must impose more tariffs on China, says Donald Trump

If Trump, Donald wins the US presidential election in November, he has threatened to impose additional taxes on Chinese products.

He claimed that the taxes may be higher than 60 % in an interview with Fox News.

He stated in the discussion on Sunday,” We have to do it.”

Mr. Trump, who is now the Republican party’s front-runner, is accused of a number of crimes, including trying to change the results of the 2020 election. These have been refuted by him.

He has much charged China with intellectual property theft and harsh trading practices.

I’m not trying to hurt China, you know, of course. I want to coexist peacefully with China. I think it’s fantastic. But they’ve really taken advantage of our nation, according to the Republican Party’s front-runner for the presidency.

As he imposed tariffs on Chinese goods for hundreds of billions of dollars during his administration, Mr. Trump sparked a bloody trade war between the two biggest economies in the world.

In 2018, the Trump administration started enacting taxes to reduce Chinese goods. Later that year, obligations on goods like chemicals and shellfish were added to the plan.

Beijing retaliated by levying tariffs on US imports of chickens, maize, and soybeans.

Despite condemnation that the taxes have increased costs and reduced US competitiveness, the present US President Biden, Joe’s leadership has largely kept them in place.

For more than 20 years, the US has been China’s largest trade market.

However, some Republican and Democrat politicians are supporting the idea of severing US-China economic relations. Higher import tariffs and limitations on Chinese investments in the US were suggested in a recent House committee review.
