On Tuesday, around 1.30pm, the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF)   ) reported receiving a call for assistance at a construction site near the intersection of Lentor Avenue and Yio Chu Kang Road.
An SCDF nurse declared a 39-year-old Bangladeshi building contractor dead at the scene.
Three people were taken to Khoo Teck Puat Hospital, where a 38-year-old native site expert succumbed to his wounds.
According to LTA, the third and fourth staff suffered minor wounds and have since been hospitalized.
This event is still being investigated.
A security time-out has also been called to examine the security techniques, LTA added.
According to the Ministry of Manpower ( MOM), heavy machinery or institutions may be secured in a secure way to reduce the risk of slipping or toppling as a general health precaution.
All four laborers are employed by VSL Singapore, a sub-contractor engaged by the major company, Ssangyong Engineering and Construction, to carry out functions at the North-South Corridor site.
The programmer is LTA, said MOM.
LTA expressed its deep sadness over the injury and is coordinating efforts with the two businesses to help the families of the deceased. It is also assisting the authorities and MOM with their studies.
