In Sa Kaeo territory in July, Thailand and Cambodia may carry a mini-joint cabinet meeting to strengthen cooperation in tackling transnational acts.
Government official Jirayu Houngsub stated yesterday that the conference will concentrate on pressing cross-border problems, including PM2.5 waste, drug and human trafficking, and false call center operations.
Following Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra’s most new official visit to Cambodia, where both governments agreed to enhance cooperation, the meeting took place.
He said the exchange of information and evidence in criminal studies, the disruption of telecoms and computer signs used by con networks, stricter border surveillance to combat all forms of cross-border violence, and the protection of Thai nationals ‘ legal work permits in Cambodia are among the key areas of assistance.
Ms. Paetongtarn has mandated that all important government departments work closely with secret network providers to combat computer and telecom-based crime.
” The objective is to improve living conditions on both sides of the border and ensure public safety,” said Mr. Jirayu.
In a related development, Lt. Col. Naing Maung Zaw, a spokeswoman for Myanmar’s Karen Border Guard Force ( BGF), demanded that the Thai government rethink its decision to cut energy supplies to Myawaddy town, which has been in effect since February 5 this time. Thailand’s wider plan to combat organized crime in border provinces included the decision. The BGF claims that the energy reductions have had a limited influence on fraud systems, which continue to use satellite internet services like Starlink and alternate energy sources, but have had a significant impact on locals and students.
