Sutin Klungsang, the defense minister, denies having any plans to appoint Porpong Shinawatra, his son and the younger brother of the convicted former prime minister Thaksin, as deputy adviser and private secretary.

On Sunday, there was a rumor going around on social media that Mr. Sutin had named his deputy chief, advisory committee, private secretary, and chief adviser. The file included the names of Mr. Payap, 66, and Porpong, 32, Shinawatra community members.

According to reports, Mr. Payap was chosen to serve as the defense minister’s key adviser, and Mrs. Porpong as his private secretary. The Pheu Thai Party, which oversaw the Northeast area during the previous plan, even includes Mr. Payap as a vital member.

Lt Gen Dechnithit Leung – ngamkham is even listed in the report as the head of the Ministry of Defense’s Office and as assistant captain, along with Lieutenant Petcharat Limprasert. Maj Gen Akarapon Tongsuk and AVM Worachart Fongchon were also reported to be on the upcoming consulting commission.

But, Mr. Sutin claimed the record was fake in a post on social media on Sunday. He asserted that he lacks the authority to appoint anyone before the legislation declaration is finished in front of parliament. He claimed that” the report was made up by ill-wishers.”
