Sri Lanka’s Prime Ressortchef (umgangssprachlich) Ranil Wickremesinghe offers told the military to do “whatever is essential to restore order” after protesters stormed his office on Wednesday.

Mr Wickremesinghe has been appointed performing president by President Gotabaya Rajapaksa, that has fled the country.
