SINGAPORE: The Singapore Mint has launched the silver medallion depicting servicemen in the outfits of the five services to celebrate the 55th year of National Service within Singapore.
The medallion will certainly “commemorate this significant milestone in Singapore’s nation-building journey, and also to document the contributions of past plus present generations associated with national servicemen”, it said in a press release on Thursday (Jul 28).
The particular 20gm 999 fine silver medallion can feature five servicemen in uniform, represented in colour, to pay homage to the 5 services “which generations of national servicemen have served proudly and fondly in”.
The services would be the Singapore Army, the particular Republic of Singapore Navy, the Republic of Singapore Air flow Force, the Singapore Civil Defence Drive and the Singapore Police.

It can be available for pre-order on S$80. Past and present NSMen, NSFs, regular MINDEF/SAF servicemen and regular House Team uniformed officials will be able to purchase the medallion at S$70 at The Singapore Mint retail shops.
On the other hand, they can buy the medallion using the LIFESG cellular app NS55 credits at S$55.
