Signalling fault on Circle Line causes morning commute delays

SINGAPORE: A signalling fault between Promenade and Nicoll Highway MRT stations on the&nbsp, Circle Line caused delays on Friday ( Mar 22 ) morning.

Around 9:30 am, station operator SMRT flagged the problem on Facebook, advising travellers to factor in an extra 30 days of vacation time between the Paya Lebar and Dhoby Ghaut or Marina Bay facilities. &nbsp,

In a later update at 10.10am, the additional travel time was later increased to 20 minutes. &nbsp,

During this time, free regular bus services were available. &nbsp,

In a subsequent post, SMRT claimed that the signalling issue occurred at around 9.20 am and that engineers were on-site to fix the issue.

Regular train services “resumed progressively” from about 10.20am with service fully resuming at 10.30am. &nbsp,

” We are sorry for affecting your morning commute”, said SMRT.
