Sidec announces Top 16 chosen for first Selangor Fashion Accelerator

Realising the need to embrace the fashion business as part of digitalising nearby SMEs and online companies, Selangor Information Technology plus Digital Economy Corporation (Sidec) announced their Top 16 applicants for their first-ever Selangor Fashion Accelerator 2022.

In the multi-racial country such as Malaysia, the fashion picture has changed dynamically as we witness the advancement of the Malaysian modest fashion into what today. This 2-month intensive programme looks for to help Malaysian startups and SMEs develop a sustainable ecosystem intended for talent in the simple fashion sector by offering engaging encounters that will raise brand name awareness in the marketplace plus which will include specially curated workshops plus mentoring sessions led by renowned style professionals. Additionally , the particular programme also gained major support from Malaysia’s well-known music icon and businesswoman, Siti Nurhaliza along with other notable fashion entrepreneurs like Rasta Rashid, Leslie Variyan plus Wong Lee Leng.

“Since there aren’t a lot of accelerator programmes solely for the fashion market, Sidec is upgrading to support emerging fashion businesses in growing their revenue and investment prospects. Giving business owners a chance plus platform to share their own ideas and creativeness is a component that motivates these business owners to be bold and confident about what they want to explore and present, ” said Yong Kai Ping, CEO of Sidec in the welcoming remarks.

Conducted via a hybrid class design (online and offline), the programme addresses modules such as harrassing fundamental skill, product-market-fit, brand identity or brand DNA, advancement of textile, fundraising sharing session and IP/trademark.

The 16 shortlisted entrepreneurs will get access to benefits such as RM948 worth of SQL account, RM588 really worth of SQL payroll, RM600 worth associated with Sprii Commerce Lighting & Easy Package and Pingspace beginner package.

All 16 candidates will receive teaching from 1 Aug to 23 Sept, and only six is going to be chosen to pitch in order to investors and business partners on the Demonstration Day, which will happen on 8 October 2022 at [email protected] 6, in conjunction with the 7th Selangor Smart City and Digital Economy Tradition (SDEC).

Winners may get potential investment opportunities from The Hive Southeast Asia and Permodalan Negeri Selangor Bhd (PNSB).
