Scoot flight bound for Singapore turned back to Perth after technical fault

There was the technical fault using the aircraft, a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, mentioned Scoot.

“A decision had been then made to return to Perth. As the required spares must be uplifted to Perth, TR009 could not be retrieved in time, ” said Scoot.

Scoot has offered to accommodate affected passengers on a 6pm flight on TR009 on Tuesday, subject to availability.

The low-cost company also said it has arranged for a comfort flight that will get to Perth at 8pm on Tuesday plus depart at 9pm.

Following the incident, Perth-based passengers were advised to return for their homes, while resort accommodation was offered for other travellers. Passengers with connecting flights will also be provided assistance, said Scoot.

“Scoot truly apologises for the disruption and inconvenience to the customers, ” this said.

“The safety of our clients and crew is usually our top priority, we will continue to provide customers with the assistance necessary. ”
