PM lauds 'team effort' to clear Rama II Road

The government and private organizations have been commended for enhancing visitors along Rama II Road, and the construction work it is anticipated to be finished by the following year.

According to a spokeswoman for the government, Chai Wacharonke, on Wednesday, Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin praised the cooperation between state and private organizations in resolving the transportation issues on Rama II Road, making it easier for drivers to travel.

He continued, adding that Mr. Srettha also mandated that all development projects that been finished by the following year, giving road users even better traffic conditions and placing the highest priority on their security.

Construction of Rama II Road started in 1970 and is still continuous.

Suriya Jungrangreangkit, the secretary of transportation, has been fixing problems on this road, according to Mr. Chai.

He claimed that major traffic jams will no longer happen as they did in the past, and that the authorities will be able to manage traffic on the road more quickly during the holidays.

He even cited the Department of Highways ‘ most recent report, which stated that all firms successfully cooperated during the Songkran holiday this year by returning smooth road surfaces to construction places, checking warning signs, installing more surveillance cameras, closing and opening removable lanes, and working together to ensure road safety for people of Rama II Road.

The Rama III- Dao Khanong- American Bangkok Outer Ring Road expressway, elevated highway No 35 on the Thonburi- At Tho route at the Bang Khun Thian- Ekachai Interchange, specific highway No 82 on the increased Bang Khun Thian- Ban Phaeo route, and the Ban Phaeo Interchange are just a few of the four construction projects that are continuous.

With the exception of special highway number, all projects are anticipated to be finished by June of next year. 82, which is expected to be finished by December 2025.
