Over the years, level types have even evolved to keep up with changing demography.
For example, HDB noted that since the 2000s, windows in the living area and bedrooms have been reoriented along the building’s wall for exterior perspectives rather than into the corridors. Additionally, this gives you more protection.
The company lawn is then separated from the house with a door, and the frequent bathroom has also been moved from the kitchen to get closer to the typical bedrooms.
In order to keep up with Singaporeans ‘ desires and lifestyle needs, HDB will continue to refine its flat services and building styles.
According to Eugene Lim, ERA Singapore’s chief executive officer,” the option of a White Flat may benefit those who plan to design custom design for their homes.” This would save them money on hackers costs.
A few without children could be accommodated by a three-room apartment measuring nearly 700 square feet, giving them the flexibility to support their lifestyle. They perhaps need a dedicated work or exercise room, a stroll- in closet or a larger dwelling area for hosting”, he noted.
” Also, a 1, 000 square feet four- place flat provides families with children the option of a larger play area or a shared bathroom with them”.
A prospective drawback, however, is that home owners may find it more difficult to sell their products because consumers may have different design choices.  ,
According to Ms. Christine Sun, chief researcher and strategist of OrangeTee Group, the price difference between regular flats and those with a White Flat layout may not be significant.
” This is because about half of the layout is the same, such as the kitchen, bathrooms, structural walls and main piping, where most of the costs are involved”, she explained.
” The main difference lies in the non- structural or partition walls, which are not as expensive”.
