- To collaborate with Microsoft to drive efficiency, productivity for NSIP
- Using Microsoft’s programme to deliver hands on training, certification
NCT Group of Companies (NCT Group) has inked a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Microsoft in Malaysia to support the group in the digitalisation of the upcoming NCT Smart Industrial Park (NSIP) in Selangor.
In a statement, the company said the MoU is set to serve as a starting point for NCT Group to explore Microsoft’s trusted cloud network and advanced data management solutions for NCT and its future tenants at NSIP.
It said the firm aims to collaborate with Microsoft to look into Internet of Things (IoT), data architecture, analytics, and artificial intelligence along with edge computing, all of which will be beneficial to NSIP to drive efficiency and productivity.
To encourage greater digital savviness for the tenants at NSIP, NCT Group said it intends to leverage Microsoft’s Enterprise Skilling Programme to deliver hands-on training of Microsoft technologies.
Certified candidates will be awarded a globally recognised certification, testament to their digital competencies, while being part of the Microsoft MEET Community, it said.
This will provide talent with latest news on employability and digital talent acquisition, it added.
Yap Ngan Choy, founder and group managing director of NCT Group of Companies said, “We are proud to explore this collaboration with Microsoft, a trusted technology player, as we build a smart, holistic, and comprehensive industrial park.”
Meanwhile, K Raman, managing director of Microsoft Malaysia, said the company is glad to share its technology and expertise to support NCT Group in the development of its NSIP.
“We look forward to working together to accelerate the NSIP project and to realize the opportunities technology can bring for Malaysian people and organisations,” he said.
