The Global Accelerator Programme ( GAP ) 2023 is officially launched by the Malaysian Research Accelerate for Technology and Innovation( MRANTI ), which welcomes 20 businesses from Malaysia, Türkiye, and Russia.
Medical & amp, Healthcare, Agriculture, and Drone technology are the three high-potential industries that GAP 2023 is concentrating on. These were chosen to be in line with Malaysia’s financial strategy, which aims to promote the development of high-tech industries and put the country on the path to becoming a great income economy by 2025 and reaching the trillion-dollar mark by the year 2036.
Participants gain access to our vast system of industry experts and partners through GAP, which gives them more than just a finger in the door. Our ultimate objective, according to Dzuleira Abu Bakar( pic ), CEO of MRANTI, is to play a crucial role in fostering an ecosystem of thriving, sustainable innovation where ideas thrive and innovation takes flight.
Twelve businesses from the medical and healthcare sectors, five from crops, two from drone technology, and one from business and financial sectors make up this year’s group.
These businesses will be directed to Malaysia’s National Technology and Innovation Sandbox( NTIS ), where they can test their products in person, in addition to the curriculum and mentoring. This approach aims to promote business prospects and collaboration.
According to MRANTI’s Chief Ecosystem Development Officer, Safuan Zairi( major pix ),” GAP is an avenue for us to discover beautiful new diamonds in the tough and polish their ability to innovate— to push the boundaries of their creativity for a national-level, green tech ecosystem that may put Malaysia ahead of the world curve.”
Through its first six colleagues, MRANTI GAP has already helped 212 businesses, resulting in cash totaling US$ 130.45 million( RM594.2 million ).
The sign-up time for GAP 2023 started in May, and it will end with a presentation to buyers in November.
