On Monday, representatives from Japan’s Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Industry( METI ) met with representatives of the Minister of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation ( MHSRI) to talk about how Thai-Kosen institutes are being used to develop its human resources.

To commemorate the 50th anniversary of Asean-Japanese compassion and assistance, MHSRI minister Supamas Isarabhakdi and METI secretary Yasuthoshi Nishimura met on Monday.

Following the meeting, Ms. Supamas announced that pertinent organizations from both nations had signed a memorandum of understanding to increase the number of skilled graduates in an effort to promote innovation across various industries, including the National Science and Technology Development Agency( NSTDA ) of Thailand and the New Energy and Industrial Tech Development Organization( NEDO ).

According to Mr. Nishimura, it is crucial for both nations to advance their technological and people resources through a number of initiatives started by the Chinese government.

According to him, increasing the country’s human resources did boost socioeconomic activity, which will be advantageous to both Japan and Thailand.

In order to produce qualified graduates who can compete in the contemporary labor market, Thai-Kosen institutes were founded in 2019.

The Kosen Institute of Japan oversees the operation of both Kosent – KMUTT at King Mongkut’s University of Technology, Thonburi( KMUTS ) and KoSen – KMITL at the same institution of higher learning, the Lat Krabang( KMTL ).

They follow the same education as comparable Japanese institutions.

According to Ms. Supamas, the second group of students is anticipated to calibrate the following year.

According to her, Kosen alumni may play a crucial role in the country’s labor force, aiding in future growth.
