SINGAPORE: On Tuesday, September 19, mixed martial arts( MMA ) champion Angela Lee admitted that her car accident in Hawaii in 2017 was an attempt at suicide.
She even confirmed that Victoria, her sister, committed suicide after passing away last year at the age of 18.
The discoveries were revealed in an article Lee wrote for the Players’ Tribune, a site that features athlete first-person accounts.
She wrote in the article titled Resilient,” It’s taken me a long time to get to this area, but I’ve presently come to the point where I am secure and comfortable enough to talk the whole truth.”
I attempted suicide six years ago. It wasn’t an incident when my car crashed in November 2017. She described her struggles in an personal profile, saying,” It was a death try.”

The previous year, she was the youngest adult ONE Championship world champion, and in 2017 she half defended her name. She got married and was anticipating a marriage.
But as another name defense got closer, she started to have trouble.
” I had reached a point where giving that battle fat was the most important thing in the world to me. She wrote,” This mentality is a & nbsp, double-edged sword for athletes, and I told myself: If you don’t get this done, you’ll lose everything.”
” And along with me, I reached a level where I overexerted my body and mind.”
Lee added,” I didn’t want to be a disappointment to someone ,” as she finally came to the conclusion that she would rather take herself out of the combat than fail to make mass for it.
