SINGAPORE: On Tuesday, September 19, mixed martial arts( MMA ) champion Angela Lee admitted that her car accident in Hawaii in 2017 was an attempt at suicide.

She even confirmed that Victoria, her sister, committed suicide after passing away last year at the age of 18.

The discoveries were revealed in an article Lee wrote for the Players’ Tribune, a site that features athlete first-person accounts.

She wrote in the article titled Resilient,” It’s taken me a long time to get to this area, but I’ve presently come to the point where I am secure and comfortable enough to talk the whole truth.”

I attempted suicide six years ago. It wasn’t an incident when my car crashed in November 2017. She described her struggles in an personal profile, saying,” It was a death try.”
