Merchant terminals are Apple Pay ready: GHL

Merchant terminals are Apple Pay ready: GHL GHL announced that all the merchant terminals can accept Apple Pay, without extra fees or additional incorporation or programming required.  

As mobile payment service Apple Spend was launched on Aug 9 in Malaysia, this has enabled contactless payment with iOS devices such as apple iphones and Apple Watches, the company said inside a statement.  

Kevin Shelter, chief executive officer of GHL Malaysia, said, “We believe that the start of Apple Pay is timely following the reopening of borders and the growing craze of cashless dealings.

“With the versatility associated with Apple Pay, clients can easily perform transactions using Apple Pay out at any NFC-based cards payment terminal.

“All of GHL merchant terminals are Apple spend ready, ” Lee said.

Malaysia is the 2nd country in Southeast Asia after Singapore to launch Apple Pay, with the support supported by credit cards issued by Maybank, AmBank and Regular Chartered at the moment.
