A twitter update proceeded to go viral over the weekend in which the Twitter user published, “I’d like someone to do a deep-drive to the similarities and differences between Keke Palmer and Zendaya’s careers. ”
“This might be one of the clearest types of how colorism performs out in Hollywood, ” the twitter update continued. “They were both child-stars, but their mainstream popularity is extremely different. ”
Palmer, that is one of the stars associated with the new Jordan Peele film “Nope, ” weighed in with her own tweet on Weekend.
“A great example of colorism is to believe I could be compared to anyone. I’m the most youthful talk show host ever, ” she tweeted. “The first Black woman to star in her own show on Nickelodeon, & the particular youngest & first Black Cinderella on broadway. I’m an incomparable talent. Baby, THIS, is Keke Palmer. ”
The lady went on to twitter update, “I’ve been a top lady since I had been 11 years old. inch
“I have over 100+ credits, and currently starring in an first screenplay that’s the number 1 film at the box office #NOPE, inch the girl wrote. “I’ve had a blessed career thus far, I actually couldn’t ask for a lot more but God is constantly on the surprise me. ”
Zendaya, who starred in last year’s “Spider-Man: No Way Home” film, became the youngest actress to win an Emmy for outstanding lead actress in the drama series in 2020 for her role within the TV series “Euphoria. ”
