The Jelajah Malaysia Digital – JMD@Kuching, organized by the Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation ( MDEC ), the lead organization driving the country’s digital economy under the Ministry of Digital, was held at Tegas Digital Village, Sarawak. This initiative is a part of a global tour series spearheaded by Gobind Singh Deo, the minister of online, as a proper platform to enhance the nation’s online ecosystem through a targeted, state-specific approach based on each state’s ability and needs.

In May 2025, the visit had reached five locations, including Ipoh, Taiping, Alor Setar, Sandakan, and Kapit, making Kuching the seventh stop of the year. In line with Sarawak’s growing ability as a hub for local storytelling and Malaysia’s electronic cultural heritage, the JMD Kuching edition concentrates exclusively on the electronic innovative content sector, including animation, digital games, and creative technologies. The program works as a collaborative platform, facilitating collaboration between local businesses, government departments, and remote communities, to promote the creation and impact of original content.

During the celebration, Sarawak’s top-performing online innovative businesses were recognized, including:

Betapuru Digital – Awarded the 2025 Digital Content Grant and renowned for producing hyper-realistic graphics and AR/VR information.

  • A 2025 Digital Content Grant victim, Metadise is a creative technologies and online training company that is currently developing the multiverse task” Tech-Me To Sarawak.”
