Intersection to ease EEC congestion

According to the Department of Highways ( DoH), the Khao Mai Kaeo elevated intersection has been established to ease logistics routes and traffic congestion in the Eastern Economic Corridor ( EEC ) area.

The Bureau of Bridge Construction in Chon Buri has completed the construction of the 601 million ringgit crossing, which will provide commercial expansion in the exclusive economic zone, according to DoH director-general Sarawut Songsivilai, who announced yesterday that the particular financial zone’s director general.

The shift is in line with the national plan on developing transportation facilities, Mr Sarawut said.

The 2.633- kilometre elevated crossing, designed with a vertical slope, links Highway Nos. 36 and 331. Additionally, the bridge around the bridge has been made 10 lanes long.

Mr Sarawut said that in addition to the crossing, the DoH has even built a drain system, installed a light structure, erected customers signs, and attracted traffic lines.

” The initiative will improve traffic flow for drivers coming from Pattaya to Rayong and Chachoengsao. According to him, it will handle more customers because of the potential growth of both the commerce and industry industries.
