Inaugural Career Forward event to be held on Mar 23 to Mar 24 to help jobseekers, employees navigate their careers

SINGAPORE: &nbsp, Fresh graduates, mid- career professionals, or anyone keen on learning how to navigate their careers can look forward to an inaugural event to learn more from industry experts, receive guidance from human resource ( HR ) professionals and meet with prospective employers. &nbsp,

The Sands ‘ Expo &amp, Convention Center will host the Career Forward celebration on March 23 and 24 in conjunction with Mediacorp and Skillsfuture Singapore and Workforce Singapore.

The free function runs from 10am to 6pm on both times, and it is open to the public. &nbsp,

The occasion will have four designs as its foundation:

  • The Digital Economy, which may seem at&nbsp, job insights in technology- related fields such as application development, data analytics, AI and cybersecurity, as well as how these sectors drive&nbsp, Singapore’s economical growth and international competitiveness
  • The Green Economy, which will provide attendees with tips on how to create and explore careers in conservation and innovations within the industry.
  • The Care Economy, which will tumble into career choices within the medical and social services sectors&nbsp, and train attendees&nbsp, how to develop a&nbsp, job in the medical industry &nbsp,
  • The Career Landscape in Singapore, which will educate attendees on&nbsp, how to successfully plan one’s career path, how to network and prepare for job interviews, and the talent outlook in Singapore

Dr. Tan See Leng, the minister of labor, will moderate the panel discussion on” How employers can empower workers to improve their career health.”

Helen Wong, the group’s chief executive officer of the&nbsp, and Dr. Bicky Bhangu, the co-lead of Action for Alliance and Widening Access to Talent, are also speaking at the event. &nbsp,

Other topics covered over the course of the two days include women’s careers and the glass ceiling, career options for financial technology ( Fintech ), and how to create an impactful LinkedIn presence, among others. &nbsp,

At a career fair featuring a variety of companies from different sectors, including insurance and finance, information technology and media, first-time job seekers and mid-career switchers can also look for new job opportunities.

Attendees will also be able to find out about the learning resources and courses offered by learning partners to help them improve their own learning.
