Hiroshi Tai wins NCAA individual golf title, will be first Singaporean to play at Masters

SINGAPORE: Golfer Hiroshi Tai will be the first Singaporean to perform at the Masters, after the 22- yr- ancient won the&nbsp, NCAA individual regional championship on Monday ( May 27 ).

Tai, a freshman at Georgia Tech, &nbsp, finished at 3- under 285 for a one- picture win over five people at the La Costa North Golf Course in California. In the 17th opening of his final round, he made it three more shots to take a score of 71 to seal the victory.

He is Georgia Tech’s fourth person champion, and Tai’s performance guarantees that his team will advance to the match play around to contend for the group title.

With the victory, Tai may take the Augusta National Masters competition next year. The winner of the Masters ‘ tournament, which is regarded as one of the biggest golf tournaments, will receive an invitation, according to the Masters ‘ last year announcement.

According to the Singapore Golf Association, he will be the first Singaporean to do so.
