3. Service ministers at sessions
To make the move smoother for vehicles, LTA will build service ambassadors to permitted workshops.
As they become familiar with the OBUs ‘ features, these services ministers will serve as their guides.
They may also recommend the NETS automated top-up solution for drivers who do not want to take the CEPAS card off the processing unit and perform a manual top-up whenever the card is worthless.
Drivers can pay for ERP without having to include a passport in their OBU thanks to the server repayment options provided by NETS or EZ-Link Motoring Service.
However, drivers are advised to have a free card on hand when parking since not all car parks already permit this option.
Separately, LTA noted that motorists ‘ OBU variety is the same as their present in- auto device ( IU) number – so details like time parking information may be ported over quickly.
This, along with the involuntary best- up option, is meant to allow a smoother changeover to OBU for all vehicles.
