Greater Bay Airlines ‘ scheduled service between Hong Kong and Singapore may be suspended starting on June 1, just over a fortnight after it was launched.  ,
The Hong Kong-based airline responded to CNA’s questions on Thursday ( May 9 ) by saying it had decided to “until further notice” for commercial reasons after considering the most recent market conditions.
On April 26, the regular service was introduced.
” We profoundly sorry for the pain caused to our people”, the airport said.
” To minimise the possible effect on people, we will instantly contact our people to make flight safety, rebooking or payment arrangements, and all the associated fees may be waived”.
In its comment, the airport even expressed its “heartfelt cheers” to its customers and partners” for their continued support”.
We will take the experience to study, look for new potential locations, improve the quality of existing pathways, and work with travel agencies to develop contract programs, it said.
Greater Bay Airlines began operating scheduled passenger planes in July 2022 and even flies between Hong Kong and Bangkok, Manila, Osaka, Seoul, Taipei and Tokyo.
It also previously ran a Hong Kong-Ho Chi Minh City company.
