- Extensive entrepreneurial experience will add unique edge to Endeavor
- Joins other high-impact board members to inspire aspiring entrepreneurs
Endeavor Malaysia announced the appointment of Loi Tuan Ee (pix), founder and managing director of Malaysia’s leading dairy brand The Holstein Milk Company, and its subsidiary brand Farm Fresh, as the newest addition to its board of directors.
In a statement, the global high-impact entrepreneurship movement said with his passion in agriculture, farmer and entrepreneur Loi successfully built and scaled a dairy farm, consequently making Farm Fresh the market leader in all-natural and fresh dairy products in Malaysia.
It said as managing director, Loi has grown Farm Fresh to a successful US$223 million (RM1 billion) IPO company listed on Bursa Malaysia, marking Malaysia’s largest IPO since June 2021.
Announcing the appointment, chairman of Endeavor Malaysia’s board of directors, Brahmal Vasudevan said, Loi and his team at Farm Fresh have built Malaysia’s very own fresh milk empire and have transformative plans for the industry.
“His extensive entrepreneurial experience, including taking a company from inception to IPO and expanding into the consumer packaged goods and F&B market will add a unique edge to Endeavor,” he added.
“Our portfolio is growing and has demonstrated to lead high-growth companies and in order to create meaningful impact in the ecosystem, Endeavor needs to be ready to provide world class mentorship to help these entrepreneurs scale in their respective industries,” Vasudevan said.
He added that the firm is honored to have more high-impact entrepreneurs to multiply their impact and inspire others to thrive in their entrepreneurial endeavors.
Loi joins Brahmal Vasudevan (founder & CEO of Creador), Afzal Abdul Rahim (commander-in-chief of TIME dotCom), Mark Chang (CEO & co-founder of JcbNext), Lim Chern Yuan (group CEO of Yinson), Fadzarudin Anuar (CEO & co-founder of FashionValet Group), Thomas G. Tsao (chairman & founding partner of Gobi Partners) and Eric Cheng (group CEO & co-founder of Carsome) on the board of Endeavor Malaysia.
The firm said Loi was selected as an Endeavor Entrepreneur in 2016 at the 65th Endeavor International Selection Panel in Bali.
Upon joining the board, Loi said he is honored to join alongside the rest of the Endeavor Board and contribute to Endeavor’s mission of supporting high-impact entrepreneurship globally.
“When I first built Farm Fresh at the age of 40, I still had a lot to learn. What was expected to be a lonely journey, Endeavor turned it around and has exposed me to a network of mentors, peers and partners that has helped Farm Fresh to be where it is today,” he added.
Achieving another huge milestone this year, Loi recently announced a US$18.7 million (RM83.9 million) share acquisition of the country’s largest homegrown premium ice cream chain Inside Scoop and the launch of his expansion into the F&B industry with its Jom Cha brand.
His expertise in entrepreneurship and business leadership will be invaluable as Endeavor aims to support and grow the entrepreneurial ecosystem even more robust this year, especially with an overly uncertain economic situation locally and globally, the firm said.
