edotco launches inaugural sustainability blueprint edotco Group, an integrated telecommunications facilities services company, offers launched its sustainability blueprint to satisfy its commitment to connecting the world impartialy and sustainably.  

Within a statement, the company stated the blueprint demonstrates the organisation’s objective to become a top five worldwide telecommunications tower corporation (TowerCo) through environmentally friendly and responsible development, focusing on achieving co2 neutrality by 2030 and aligning with its stakeholders’ sustainability aspirations.

edotco said it has to push out a report of a compendium of its sustainability attempts to date and lists the company’s attempts along its sustainability journey, as it aligns its growth along with key environmental, interpersonal and governance (ESG) fundamentals, in Malaysia and across the markets of operation.  

The reporting time period ran from January 1 to 31 Dec 2021, using a scope that encompasses all edotco’s functions and its subsidiaries along with locations.

According to Malaysia’s ressortchef (umgangssprachlich) of finance, Tengku Zafrul Tengku Abdul Aziz, the government is steadfast in its dedication to nurturing development projects and programmes that prioritise ESG principles that are in-line to the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals.  

“This focus underscores the 12th Malaysia Plan’s goal of revitalising the country’s socioeconomic development, with long term sustainability and wealth serving as the basis for improving the particular nation’s wellbeing, ” he said.

According to edotco, TowerCos as the organizations crucial for constructing the infrastructure to enable the delivery associated with communications networks and are also poised to take in the responsibility in making their particular operations sustainable, so that they can help multiply durability efforts across various dimensions across culture and business.

The company mentioned it is committed to laying the foundations necessary to build future communities based on strategic focus areas.

This includes managing environmental impact and decarbonisation (environmental), producing meaningful relationships in the company and with the stakeholders, focusing on the aspects of labour plus community (social) plus upholding diligent specifications and best practices to protect stakeholder interests (governance).

Continuing to move forward, the company said it is going to continue to green the operations via the Centre for Design Excellence (CoDE) within innovating tower designs using alternative materials, structures and strength systems as it aims to foster a low carbon future.

To date, edotco claimed that it provides managed to halve the carbon emissions impact by as much as 57% typically per site.
