Launch of SEA’s first Apple Training Centre with Selangor MB.

Complete Human Network (CHN) and the Selangor Technical Skills Development Centre (STDC) have collaborated to launch a one-month course designed to teach participants skills in developing native iOS mobile apps using Swift UI and Xcode. Under the Swift UI Academy programme, students will be taught by development professionals from Apple, including Apple Distinguished Educators and Apple Professional Learning Specialists. Participants will also be divided into groups to work on collaborative projects, brainstorming creative solutions to real-world problems by learning in-demand skills in the tech industry.

It will all culminate in a live demo day where participants will showcase their completed apps to industry professionals and potential employers. Students will also receive certificates of completion at the end of the programme.

The programme will be conducted at a dedicated training centre and claims to be Southeast Asia’s first Apple Training Centre. CHN equips the facility with Apple technology and oversees the management of its devices.

CHN had also previously signed an MoU with Cradle Fund’s MyStartUP to launch iOS Developer Academy in 2022.

Currently, the only Developer Academy offically lauched and supported in Southeast Asia back is in Indonesia. It was opened in 2018.

This collaboration marks the second joint project between CHN and STDC. In 2021 they worked together to upskill technical support for local enterprises, SMEs, and foreign direct investors.

Swift UI Academy is open to the public at STDC.
