Cohesity appoints Sanjay Poonen as president and CEO

Cohesity appoints Sanjay Poonen as president and CEO  Cohesity announced the appointment of Sanjay Poonen (pic) because chief executive officer  (CEO) and president.  

Within a statement, the data administration company said Poonen will also join the Cohesity board associated with directors.  

It added that Mohit Aron, who has been CEO since founding the business in 2013, will accelerate Cohesity’s item innovation and map as founder plus chief technology (CTO) and product officer.  

He will continue to guide the company’s research and development, support and solutions, as well as the office of the CTO and will stick to the Cohesity Plank of Directors, this said.

Poonen said the company sits at the intersection of three of the highest priority business issues today – cyber security, impair, and data management and is poised to become a major powerhouse with industry analyst firms naming the company like a leader and one of the fastest growing in its category.

“In my research with customers, I have found that Cohesity has the best technology in its category plus protects data for many of the biggest brands in the Fortune five hundred.

“Above all, Aron has built an incredible team across the organisation that is devoted to driving innovation while putting customers very first.

“I look forward to leading this particular talented organisation plus driving even further achievement in strong relationship with Mohit and everything Cohesians, ” mentioned Poonen.

In his most recent part as chief operating officer of VMware, Poonen oversaw product sales, marketing, services, and alliances and performed a key role in doubling revenues from approximately US$6 billion (RM26. 7 billion) to US$12 billion (RM53 billion).  

He also played a huge role in architecting multiple successful cloud partnerships, including AWS, Ms, Google, and Oracle. He also  brought the company’s protection and end-user processing businesses, including the purchase of AirWatch and Co2 Black.  

Prior to VMware, Poonen served since president of SAP where he led SAP’s Applications, Industries, and Platform teams, helping in engineering plus sales roles that will helped double SAP revenues from around US$10 billion (RM44 billion) to US$ 20 billion (RM89 billion).  

“As all of us scale, it is important to myself to have a tighter concentrate on where I spend my time to have the greatest impact, ” Cohesity founder Aron said.

“I’m excited to use Poonen as we always grow and interrupt the US$ twenty five billion (RM114 billion) data management market, ” he additional.
