Celcom, Allo collaborate to expand fibre connectivity

Mohamed Ghous Ahmad, chief executive officer of Allo Technology, Indera Ir. Baharin Din, president and chief executive officer of Tenaga Nasional Berhad, Haji Mohammad Mentek, secretary general, Ministry of Communications and Multimedia Malaysia, Idham Nawawi, chief executive officer of Celcom Axiata Berhad and Afizulazha Abdullah, chief operations officer & chief enterprise business officer of Celcom Axiata Berhad, during the MoU signing ceremony between Allo and Celcom.  Celcom Axiata Bhd (Celcom) and Allo Technology Sdn Bhd (Allo), a wholly owned subsidiary of Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB), signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to explore a collaboration for the execution plus fulfilment of telco-related services.

This includes focusing on fiberisation, network resiliency, connectivity, information, and telecommunications, internet of points, 5G and smart solutions, both parties stated in a statement.  

They added that the collaboration will enable for any faster fibre infrastructure rollout by Allo, while facilitating the rapid deployment of high-speed broadband within targeted industrial areas, network base stations and fiberisation associated with Celcom-selected sites.  

The partnership will also seek to accelerate the introduction of smart cities that a better and better Malaysia through digital connectivity by each, they said.

Haji Mohammad Mentek, secretary general, ministry of communications and multimedia Malaysia, said, “This initiative should be continued because the assistance between companies will certainly of course bring outcomes that have high affects to the people as well as the nation. ”

Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB)’s chief executive and chief executive officer (CEO), Indera Ir. Baharin Din said, “By leveraging over twenty five, 000km of TNB’s fibre optic infrastructure, Allo has peninsula-wide coverage to support a rapid and cost-effective application of high-speed high speed connectivity services.

Idham Nawawi, CEO of Celcom Axiata, mentioned, “The opportunity to supply high quality and affordable fibre connectivity in order to homes across the nation is immense, and through this relationship, both parties can play a much larger part and make substantial impacts towards digitising Malaysian societies.

He added that the collaboration may also enable efforts from Allo and Celcom to drive connectivity plus digitalisation across industries with technology solutions and services such because ICT cybersecurity options, cloud, data centers and managed solutions, as well as IoT clever city solutions.
