Car COE prices hit new record; premiums for larger cars cross S$140,000 for the first time

SINGAPORE: On Wednesday, September 20, Certificate of Entitlement( COE ) premiums for automobiles reached yet another high, reaching a new high of S$ 140,000 for larger vehicles in Category B and Open Category. & nbsp,

Premiums closed at S$ 105, 000 ( US$ 76, 927 ), a new record, for Category A vehicles or those 1, 600cc and under with horsepower not exceeding 130 bhp. This is higher than the Sulphur$ 111 000 offered in the most recent bid and the previous record set by & nbsp in April of this year. & nbsp,

Prices for bigger, more potent vehicles in Category B increased to S$ 140, 889, an boost of 4.4 % from the previous bid of$ 134,889. & nbsp,

Open Category Submissions, which can be used for any type of vehicle but are typically used primarily for massive cars, increased to S$ 144, 640, an increase of 5.6 % from the previous round’s S$ 137, 000 number.

This rate increase in this group is the second in a row.

In the previous selling exercise, COEs for industrial vehicles, including goods vehicles and buses, increased from S$ 82, 889 to Mho 83, 801.

Motorcycle premiums broke the trend and closed at S$ 10, 700, along from S$ 10, 901 during the previous exercise.
