- To provide telematics, geo-mapping technologies to Truck It
- Combines outdoor advertising with IoT to bring innovation in AdTech
Asia Mobility Technologies Sdn Bhd (Asia Mobiliti) has signed a commercial agreement with Truck It Sdn Bhd (Truck It).
In a statement, the mobility-as-a-service and Internet of Things (IoT) solutions provider said it will enable Truck It with the technology to match advertisement buyers to its fleet of logistic partners.
It said Truck It is amongst the first companies in Malaysia to offer advertisers, both big and small mobility advertisements by wrapping them around its partners’ fleet of vehicles.
These partners range from third party logistics providers to companies that operate their own fleet of vehicles.
This concept brings billboard advertisements to where customers are as opposed to waiting for customers to come to them, the firm added.
Under the agreement, Asia Mobiliti will provide comprehensive telematics and geo-mapping technologies to Truck It, which can then offer advertisement buyers the capability to target their customers, offer them real-time tracking information of all trucks, routes and display the type of truck that suits their choice.
The new upgraded solution, dubbed Truck It 2.0 and powered by Asia Mobiliti’s platform, allows advertisers to use a brand-new search engine to find the best options for their advertisement.
This enables them to optimise their spending and strategically place advertisements on Truck It’s fleet partners based on location and demographics so that the advertisements can reach their intended audiences as they ply multiple routes locally and internationally.
V. Thilaganathan, chief executive officer (CEO) of Truck It said the company is constantly evolving its business and Truck It 2.0 is the next iteration of that evolution.
“We began by revolutionising the outdoor billboard space by bringing mobile advertisements to those who have fleet transportation and now, we’re extending that concept by adding geolocation intelligence and advertisement technology (AdTech) to create more value for our customers,” he added.
Asia Mobiliti’s CEO & co-founder Ramachandran Muniandy said the company is continuing to empower clients in the mobility and transportation space
“In this case, we are marrying traditional outdoor advertising with IoT technology to create innovation in the AdTech space, a nascent area very few have explored to date,” he added.
Ram said this is a powerful combination as by using the firm’s technology, any company with a fleet of trucks can leverage the surface area of their trucks for advertising by equipping themselves with our telematics-enabled AdTech solution thereby growing new revenue streams for their businesses via the Truck It 2.0 platform.
