Anchanto has appointed Kamalanathan Magedran (pic) as the new country head for its division in Malaysia.

In a statement, the SaaS solutions provider for the e-commerce industry said, with over 12 years of extensive experience in the e-commerce landscape, Kamalanathan is set to play a pivotal role in further elevating Malaysia’s booming e-commerce sector.

He brings a fitting blend of expertise as Malaysia enters the sales season for 2023, and Anchanto continues to focus on empowering clients by simplifying their operations, the firm said.

It added that as a seasoned professional with leadership and expertise in sales, commercials, and people management within the industry, Kamalanathan’s understanding of various aspects of the e-commerce landscape, ranges from last mile delivery to warehousing, fulfillment, enabler services, and the solutions they need, has consistently led to success throughout his career.

His journey in e-commerce began with DHL eCommerce, where he started in customer service before rapidly progressing into multiple sales roles. His skills in key account management eventually earned him the position of sales team manager for DHL eCommerce Malaysia, solidifying his reputation as a trusted authority in the field.

Building upon his accomplishments, Kamalanathan assumed the role of head of sales and commercial team at iStore iSend, where he collaborated with clients of various tiers, including global MNCs and local SMEs, to provide tailored solutions in warehousing, fulfillment, enabler, and end-to-end e-commerce.

As the newly appointed country head for Anchanto, Malaysia, Kamalanathan aims to drive the local team’s efforts to bridge the gaps faced by e-commerce and logistics companies with Anchanto’s SaaS solutions.

The firm said, with Malaysia’s e-commerce experiencing significant growth, reaching US$62.6 billion (RM291.7 billion) in the first quarter of 2023, Kamalanathan’s role becomes even more crucial for sustainable success in online retail.

Vishal Desai, CRO – APAC, Anchanto said the firm is pleased to welcome Kamalanathan as its new country head for Malaysia.

“Kamalanathan’s insights and experience will help us scale in Malaysia as we look to extend our market leader position in order and warehouse management. His expertise and network will also be a catalyst for our new solutions propositions like Brand Digital Shelf Health and Digital Retailing,” he added.

According to Anchanto, Kamalanathan’s track record and vast understanding of the Malaysian e-commerce industry is expected to help Anchanto penetrate deeper into the local market.

“Through Anchanto’s innovative solutions in digital retail and logistics, there is a lot for local businesses to leverage especially during sales like the recent 8.8 shopping event. I look forward to connecting with different businesses in the country and helping them solidify their digital infrastructure for a bigger share of sales from e- commerce,” Kamalanathan said.
