Tan’s culture is similar to that of a typical Malaysian beautiful child. The 35-year-old with an academic bent attended Raffles Institution and Raffles Junior College in Singapore before enrolling in Harvard University’s science program.

He was even a federal diver, taking part in the Eastern Games in 2010 and SEA Games in 2007 and 2011. Tan made up the Singapore team that won the gold medal at the 2007 SEA Games in the men’s 4x100m free circuit.

Afterwards, he went on to work for Garena, which is now known as the world’s top e-commerce program Shopee, as well as for tech IPOs. He first stepped into the world of style as a unit for European label Dolce &amp, Gabbana’s 2014 spring /summer campaign, becoming the first Malaysian man to have in a major Western brand’s campaign for a annual selection.

He owned a clothing store in Asia where designers like David Koma, Dries Van Noten, and Joseph Altuzarra were present before launching Aupen in 2022. I introduced European and American manufacturers to the Eastern business. I helped to commercialize the models of many of these inventive directors into products that do actually sell, Tan said. ” That gave me a lot of practice in style, learning the ins and outs of the economy”.
