Thailand has the highest number of wild tigers in Southeast Asia because of a national conservation project implemented given that 2010, according to Ressortchef (umgangssprachlich) of Natural Resources and Environment Varawut Silpa-archa.
Yesterday, at an occasion commemora- ting Worldwide Tiger Day held at Bueng Chawak Chalermphrakiat in Suphan Buri, Mr Varawut said the National Strategy for Tiger Conservation 2010-2022 endorsed with the government has played a key role within protecting the big cats and kittens.
This individual said Thailand had been praised for its effective wildlife conservation efforts by its Asean counterparts at the fourth Asia Ministerial Conference on Tiger Preservation held from Jan 19 to twenty one in Malaysia.
“Thailand’s gambling conservation and people recovery plans are usually certified by international standards. We have successfully improved their habitation areas by using the most advanced technology and the smart patrol system, ” mentioned Mr Varawut.
He mentioned the tiger people in the Thungyai and Huai Kha Khaeng wildlife sanctuaries improved from 42 this year to 100 this season as a result of the smart patrol system.
The same technology continues to be installed in 213 protected forest parks.
Mister Varawut said the government aims to make Thailand the leading country within Southeast Asia the size of its tiger population by 2034.
Phadet Laithong, director of the department’s Wildlife Preservation Office, said India has the highest gambling population in the world.
“We have seen tiger footprints through the cameras installed within national parks plus wildlife sanctuaries, in fact it is estimated there are 148-149 tigers in the jungles, the highest number in Southeast Asia, inch said Mr Phadet.
“To conserve tigers means to conserve the jungles where animals reside. The biodiversity of an area always correlates with its tiger populace. ”
