Samsung Electronics union in South Korea says will strike indefinitely

SEUL: The labor union for Samsung Electronics employees in South Korea will continue to strike indefinitely, it said in a statement posted on its website on Wednesday ( Jul 10 ).

The National Samsung Electronics Union ( NSEU), whose roughly 30 000 members make up almost a quarter of the South Korean workforce, announced that management has decided to continue organizing the strike, which officially began on Monday.

The coalition stated that it would expand the initial strike’s three-day duration until Wednesday, noting that it had caused production disruption.

Samsung has recently stated that the attack has not affected production. It did not respond to a request for comment on the endless hit right away.

Stocks of Samsung Electronics were trading off 0.1 per share, versus the standard KOSPI intraday 0.1 per share collapse as at 12.54am GMT.
